In his seminars, my friend Tom Peters regularly discusses the following
quote from Dee Hock, founder of Visa:
"The Problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind,
but how to get the old ones out."
Thanks, Morty, for sharing this information. Although it sounds to some
like a trivial topic, this is, no doubt, a very serious obstacle to
innovation. Or as someone once said, "the most significant breakthroughs
are almost always break-withs." I am eager to hear the experiences and
ideas of others on getting the old ideas of "truth" and "what's right" out
of our heads.
