Hi there,
I recently posted a notice about an upcoming book about creating learning
communities and envisioning a world without schools. A link was also
included. Can I please ask that if you like what you see, PLEASE consider
getting a copy. The ideas are so worth spreading and supporting. They
don't have some big publisher to get them distribution. Appreciate if you
could forward notice below to all who might be interested (eg, libraries,
educators, friends, organizations). Your support is greatly appreciated!
Thanks for letting me post this here. I hope this can be an exception for
advocating a product on here, but this is truly a grassroots project where
the authors have not even met in person. It was a completely democratic
process which evolved out of a shared vision.
Thank you and warmest wishes
Lana Choi

New book: Envisioning a World Without Schools: A World of
Cooperative Lifelong Learning Communities
One reviewer writes, "Possibly the most revolutionary volume on education
of the 21ST century, [it] proposes a totally new way of thinking about and
conducting education, from kindergarten through to university."
Creating Learning Communities suggests that social needs, brain research,
and new techniques and technologies make the reinvention of the learning
system both necessary and possible.
The book sales ($21.95) will go towards supporting the work of 30+ authors
and contributers, or the Coaltionšs, programs for creating learning
communities, as well as the publisher, the Foundation for Educational
Renewal.
