Dear Harriett,

Someone suggested Buddhism; you might try 'The Tibetan Book of Living and
Dying' by Sogyal Rinpoche. You also might try 'Great Souls: Six who
Changed the Century (Word, 1998) by David Aikman. I can't remember whom
precisely all six were, but one was Mother Teresa and one was Aleksandr
Solzhenitsyn. The Dalai Lama has also written several books which might
be of interest.

All the best,

Tricia Lustig
