Hi Vicky

That's easy, all organisations are learning organisations,
some have better adaptive mechanisms
some are in old age
others are in decline
others are in a steep growth phase
some have forgotten why they are there
others never knew in the first place
others are right at the beginning of new demand structures
others are at the end of old demand structures

what is the opposite of not learning or adapting-it is deprivation,
stagnation, shrinkage and all those fearful things that will befall most
organizations at some point in its life.

Learning is for all, individuals and organizations.

To test your organization
ask:
Does this cpy. have R &D?
Does this company have a strategic unit?
Does this cpy. have an innovative arm?
Does this company have a self reflective capability?

And that's only the future part of the firm what about the parts that grows
the business.
What about the parts that control the firm?
What about the parts that are self referential i.e. tie the whole bang shoot
together

Good luck in your search.

kindest
gavin
