I received this question:

> ... [On the web..] I'm having a
>problem finding the initial question/issue that folks are
>responding to. I clicked on the "subject" function in hopes that
>I'd find the issue that I'm interested in now; I think I'm
>reading responses but am not clear on what the original posting
>was that folks are responding to!

Start with any message of interest...

 1) you see a link "In Reply to..." -- You can follow this chain within
any one month's archive. You'll have to navigate manually to cross a month
boundary.

For example, see http://www.learning-org.com/00.10/0002.html and follow
the "In Reply to.." links to go back through the exchange.

 2) While viewing the message, click the "thread" link; you'll then see
the whole structure of who has replied to what. (You may have to scroll up
a bit, and again the thread is tracked within a calendar month.)

For example, in the above message, clicking "Messages Sorted by...
[thread]" takes you to http://www.learning-org.com/00.10/thread.html#2
where you can see the whole exchange (at least the part occurring within
one month).

Finally, the best way to search learning org is at Google... Either

a) Go to http://www.google.com -- to search for messages about
"resistance" use search terms like this -- resistance
site:www.learning-org.com

Or b) use their advanced search http://www.google.com/advanced_search
and use the option "Include only pages from site...
www.learning-org.com"

>I also don't find any background info as to what your
>organization is called or what your purposes are. Can you give
>me some background info, please?

Learning-org is an ongoing free public internet discussion about
organizational learning. It is hosted by Richard Karash.

Hope this is helpful...
