Dear Rick,
Methinks you are a "trustee" of more than SoL... and you ask the list,
- All day and night, music,
a quiet, bright
reedsong. If it
fades, we fade.
Rumi
>(1) What has enabled the emergence that has occurred here (learning-org)
>(2) What might SoL do to facilitate emergence of wonderful things around
> the world concerning organizational learning?
" And that is where we start. We die with the dying." Eliot
Out of respect for all minds here I have been ploughing through the archives,
hither and yon;-)..looking for poets and artists especially...traces. By
coincidence I was working with such a medley of wisdom yesterday and in 1995
someone (Barry Mallis) wrote this,
"We are all, readers of this list of Rick Karash's creation, singular circles
whose intersections on the net raise our own being an octave. Such a scale
educes a wisdom that defines and offers hope to mankind." He then closes,
I stand up, and this one of me
turns into a hundred of me.
They say I circle around you.
Nonsense, I circle around me.
Rumi
A young friend who 'fights the good fight' wrote me beautifully very
recently quoting the lines of a song..."You are like a hurricane, there's
calm in your eye." This young woman went on to tell me about the tea
ceremony she facilitated in the East End of London, it has many beautiful
interconnecting parts, but the part I want to lift up here says this,
"-for a shepherd to give gold would have been as inappropriate as for a
king to give a lamb. Rather, worship is giving of what you are, and by
giving of what we are, what we are is always increased and stretched by
the extension towards the other, the object of worship. For that woman to
make tea was an extension of herself and her love, a realisation and an
act of growth. â^À¦ "
Love and thanks,
Andrew
