Are you aware of indicators helping to determine an organization's
readiness for technology assisted learning and KM tools?
I am writing a paper for an Instructional Technology course at the USF.
My thesis is Organizational Culture still represents the single largest
barrier towards more effective implementation of e-learning and knowledge
management initiatives. Ignoring organizational climate and investing in
e-learning prematurely can be a costly mistake. The paper will introduce
and reinforce the pivotal importance of an accurate organizational culture
readiness assessment prior to embarking on expensive technology based
instruction.
I am interested in your experiences about organizational cultures that
foster adoption of technology tools and examples of cultural bias against
technology assisted learning. Feel free to respond directly to
jbischof@tampabay.rr.com.
Would welcome scholarly advice on research sources, real-world
experiences, and other leads. ....Thanks ahead of time!....
