>How do we produce Learning Organisations? One thing I know for sure. We have

Judging the love of others is a complex thing for a simple mind to do.
We may recall en eruption caused not so long ago, in a place<>space not so
far from here<>now when we spoke of love and down came a tempest of
confusionings. We of course knew something was born that day, because
that's the cycle beyond self interest and the essence of agape. The
gravity of the soul. The Rvn of Confucius, the Golden Mean of the heart.
Say it out loud. LOVE.
Say it out loud. AGAPE.
It is a difficult thing to stand up, in public, and say that word
Love<>Agape in the context you've outlined here. But one word caught my
eye, CONCEIVE.
Conception, birth and natality.
Remember the story of Ben Compton that I recounted in 'the Dolphin Boy'
contribution I sent last summer?
About how he shared with some delegates a story of how his little boy
taught him how to live with a wisdom equal to Socrates and Confucius. And
recalling what happened when he shared that information to become
knowledge in others conceptions? Mmmmm. For some complex thoughts there?
Well, before I used to irritate people here with my inconsequentialities
(I don't mean that I just wanted to test my typing abilities;-) I attended
as a facilitator (someone who makes transits easy) a course while my head
was still ringing with the bell of Agape. I blurted out, as was and
remains my wont to do, a peroration on agape to the assembled host;-) It
seemed to be fitting at the time. There's know way to know. One just
ploughs the fields and scatters;-) and leaves complex chemistry to do it's
thing or 'thang' as another might say;-).
I forgot all about it, buried it in the rock of my head. Then some years
later at another congregationing a man just stood up, in front of all
these people and pointed his finger across the hall at me. "I wish to say
something,... " I looked behind me to see if he could be pointing at
someone else... he said, ' I want to thank that man over there. You
changed our lives! (his wife was with him) and I want to thank you for
that... ( he's responsible for a rather large family that just became a
plc.)... my wife and I had a child last year, a daughter.." Mmmmmm;-)
Oiks! I felt like moving faster..." so we have given her a special name, a
middle name, her middle name is Agape."
At, you will know how it was that Athenian democracy was 'born' when
ordinary people took the responsibility of the home, 'eco' out into the
public arena, therein to share themselves 'creatively' in something 'new',
nascent that was being born. Today called by the name of 'democracy'. I
like the name 'democracy' but I prefer the 'doing' of the 'naming'.
Bob Geldof recently said that he would 'sup with the devil' to release the
people of Africa from their plight. I don't know what he meant. I don't
need to. He has done to 'doing of the knowing'.
Well, last year I spoke<>wrote of 'having nothing', you wrote back
'nothing remains NOTHING' and a storm unleashed. By that time I had built
my chrysalis. Now as before I try and build them with other people.
I have a fond imagining. I will be a grizzled old possibly unhappy
personage, in my eighties. And a beautiful young woman will knock on my
door and smile at me bent over, she'll tell me her name. Her name is
Agape, mine is James. I will tell her my name is James. You'll understand
that.
Love,
Andrew
((I dedicate this to the 'slave children' lost for now somewhere on the coast
of West Africa who were on their way to become slaves so that we may eat
chocolate at fair prices according to 'market need' and want.))
