The Organization Design Forum is a small, international association of
professionals whose focus of interest and practice is the structure of the
organization -- what are the pieces and the parts and how should they be
arranged in relation to one another. It provides a point of professional
contact for managers, consultants, academics and students interested in
the design of organizations.

As with the OD Network in its early days, members come from various
backgrounds. Some from socio-technical systems and work design whose work
has led them to look at the next level up - the design of the
organization. Some from information systems and business process
reengineering who have learned to look at the vertical and horizontal
dimensions of organizations. And some from OD, whose work has come to
focus on strategy and structure.

The theme of its up-coming conference in Boulder, CO, April 28 - May 1,
2002, is Designing for Sustainability.
