Perhaps you might like to read philosopher Whitehead's contribution to a
very early issue of Harvard Business Review on this subject. I didn't read
it myself but a long quotation (I think it is not available in Taiwan's
libraries). Some insights are available in Herber t Simon's Models of My
Life and the processes of Discoveries in Scientific Investigations among
others.
