Dear Andrew,
This reminds me of an apocryphal story about Jung during a visit to the
American southwest. He secured an invitation to a Kiva ceremony, and was
allowed to sit not in the inner circle, but outside it where he could
observe as a non-tribal member.
During the ceremony, an elder rose from his circle, approached Jung, and
said: "The problem with you Europeans is that you think with your head
first. You must learn to think with your heart."
