Bill and Mauricio,
Their is another method at group visioning in which you could explore. It
is called Future Search. There is a guidebook which is helpful. I'm been
through it a couple of times with two different groups, and found that it
is very good at helping people think about the past and the future
together.
See: FUTURE SEARCH: An Action Guide to Finding Common Ground in
Organizations and Communities, by Marvin R. Weisbord and Sandra Janoff.
Published by Berrett-Koehler Publishers, 1995 ISBN 1-881052-12-5.
See also: DISCOVERING COMMON GROUND: How Future Search Conferences Bring
People Together to Achieve Breakthrough Innovation, Empowerment, Shared
Vision, and Collaborative Action, by Marvin R. Weisbord and 35 others.
Same publisher, 1992, ISBN 1-881052-08-7.
I hope this is helpful.
