If the desire for learning has created this community, then I just "moved
into town". It is my shared desire to learn, explore, and create that has
brought me here.
At first glance, my background would hardly seem to lead me here. My
formal education's in the physical sciences (chemistry), and my
professional career has been spent as an environmental, occupational
health, and employee safety champion at large manufacturing sites. Yet my
lifelong fascination with the physical/natural sciences has found new
meaning in the LO concepts (Fritz Capra's and Meg Wheatley's books, for
example, had a profound effect on me). And the result of my chosen career
path, first and foremost (although it took years to realize), has been to
serve as a catalyst for organizational change.
As my career has expanded my perspectives and broadened my
responsibilities, I find the LO principles sum up my own values, beliefs,
and self-concept very elegantly.
I look forward to taking this journey with each of you...
