Hi,

I am Charlie Bennorth, a manager at WJA, a micro-computer based consulting
organization in the Chicago suburbs. One of my responsibilities is to
coordinate both the training and information resources in the company.
This is not a position that I am trained for, so I am learning as I go.

We have about 35 people working here, about 15 of them are programmers and
senior programmers, with another 6 being managers. This development group
is the area that I need to facilitate the training and information sharing
for.

The bible tells us it is better to give than receive, and I think that is
why I have been placed here, to give all of you someone to give help and
information to. I will gladly contribute as I can, but, right now, I am
just trying to determine which direction to go in and how to start
developing an internal training program. This is really a startup area in
this company.

I found the Learning Organization today and have spent a lot of time
reading through. I think it will be very helpful and appreciate the time
and work put into this.

Please, any guidance or direction that any of you may be able to give on
where I can look, resources I can access, or even previous discussions in
this forum about starting the transformation of a company into a learning
organization that I can research will be appreciated.
