I want to thank everyone for their feedback and tell you what we have
decided to be now that we know we will never grow up! We have done a name
struggle off and on for many years -- we are too small to get away with
initials but could never come up with anything. Years ago some of our
folks came up with Leadership, Motivation & Agility but no-one could say
it without gagging (-: Many of the folks who responded to my request
wanted us to relate our name to our customers so that made us think some
more. Who are we? What do we mean to our customers? How could we
describe ourselves in a way that would mean something to them?
I must acknowledge some of the more amusing suggestions: Laugh More
Agressively, Love My Honda, and Life Mimics Art...
But this is what we have done( Sorry I can't include how it really looks
but our web site will be up soon):
LMA, Inc ....The Growth Company
Life and Management Applications, Inc.
Growth = To grow in knowledge and ability and make progress towards
desired business results for individuals, organizations and partners.
Life = logos: daily making sense of the universe
Management = metamorphosis: the changes constantly taking place in living
organizations to satisfy internal and external customers.
Applications = action: focusing the mind with intensity of thought to
apply knowledge, skill and insights to practical matters.
Incorporated = integration: aligning internal and external partners and
customers in different environments to support growth.
Again -- thanks to all who responded, and if you choose to -- we would
love more feedback on what we have come up with. Happy spring and summer
to all -- hope yours is better that ours here in NH... (if you are in the
northern hemispere -- southern hemisphere happy fall winter if you have
seasons -- ah the complexity of the www...)
