After several month of reading, this is my first writing. First a small
introducion: After working for a long time as a training manager in a big
US-electronic-company I'm running my own business in small but fine
consultancy company, focussed on LO and System Dynamics. Beside training
and consultancy we distribute ithink and STELLA from HPS in the German
speaking Europe.

Next week, I will have a job on the 2nd annual meeting of the German
speaking audience of Peter Senge's 5th discipline, it's to give some
informations and impressions about the learning org forum in order to
encourage people to join.

On the one hand the benefits of participating are obvious, on the other
hand people often like a little kick. I wonder if success stories from
people who took some special benefits out of participating could be such a
kick? I can imagine that a lot of Aha's and a lot of important and allso
valuable informations and contacts are the result.

But where are the individuell highlights - true real stories - which can
people give the last kick?

[Host's Note: Wolfgang, Good luck in your talk. I recommend giving a brief
demo; I think this may work better than "selling." If you collect some of
our msgs in a Eudora mailbox, then you have a portable demo. You can look
at the block of msgs by date, author, subject... And let people read a
few. I think the conclusions they draw are more powerful than a sales
pitch. (In the US I would demonstrate from the LO web pages, but that will
be slower going trans-atlantic.) ...Rick]
