Toronto will host an international knowledge management conference and
workshop on Oct 8th and 9th,1997. The Creativity Consortium is one of the
co-sponsors.

1-Day Workshop "Visualizing Opportunity in the Knowledge Economy:
A Worldwide Dialogue" given by ... Debra Amidon

Following a theme of open world wide dialogue developed for Ms. Amidon's
Knowledge Management Dialogue, Austin Texas, this workshop will give
insights into the development of the knowledge theme and the processes of
innovation within a framework of a 'community of knowledge practice'. This
session will help people understand the evolution of the Knowledge
movement and their potential role.

Workshop Speaker Biography

DEBRA M. AMIDON is the Founder and Chief Strategist for ENTOVATION
INTERNATIONAL (Wilmington, Massachusetts) - a global innovation research
and consulting network linking 45 countries throughout the world. Her own
specialties include: knowledge management, learning networks, customer
innovation and enterprise transformation. During the past year alone, her
presentations have been heard throughout the United States, Canada,
France, England, The Netherlands, Sweden, Mexico and Chile. Her advice has
been sought by diverse organizations such as the National Research
Council, The Agility Forum, the European Knowledge Union, the BBC and most
recently - The World Bank. Her 1997 trilogy is considered a landmark work
in the field.

She holds degrees from Boston University, Columbia University and the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she was an Alfred P. Sloan

Ms. Amidon's book Innovation Strategy for the Knowledge Economy: The Ken
Awakening (Butterworth-Heinemann), was released earlier this year and is
being described as "far reaching", "challenging", "mind stretching" and
