Today is our Atahuna or "Friends Made" ceremony, it is a time of
reconciliation within our community. I would like to include this list as
a prayer for healing within our communities. I don't know or understand
many of the things that the Creator has worked with us but I do have the
faith that the Father of All Peoples does. This is the time of year when
forgiveness must be given if asked, otherwise the person is excluded from
the ceremony and shamed within the community. The only exception to this
is the loss of a life. Only the Creator can forgive that. I wish all of
you a good day and ask for peace and reconciliation for our peoples in the
coming year.
Wado, which is to say thank you
Stau, which is to say be strong
Donada gohv'i
