I'd suggest that you combine any course / training with informal
discussions with his peers in other companies who have gone down this
route.
Look at the Fast Company site for examples of firms that are doing lots in
this area. For courses try the Association for Quality and Participation,
the OD Network, the Institute of Cultural Affairs and the ASTD also have
some courses in this area.
You may also want to explore the whole leadership area with him - I find
New leaders magazine an excellent source of inspiration and case examples.
