I am very interested in Partnership relationships and have a meeting with
a client soon who is experiencing some difficulties.

I would welcome views on what others believe is necessary for effective
partnership relationships between customer/suppliers, business partners or
working colleagues.

My own thoughts are that the following are necessary

- a willingness to be open and straightforward (and to get better
at it over time)
- 'Open book' between partners, no secrets
- being prepared to explore different solutions (not necessarily
compromise and definitely not imposed solutions)
- a willingness to accept and work with different styles
- enjoy mutual success
- want to help each other

I look forward to thoughts and comments
