John
I think if you re-read the Fortune article you will find that Sears is in
fact doing many of the things your think it should be doing and not at all
doing many of the things you accuse it of doing!
As someone who only knows about what Sears is doing from what he reads in
the papers (having lived in Scotland for the past 6 years), I'd be
interested in hearing from you (or any other readers) as to whether the
"good on paper" things that Rucci and Martinez--the Sears CEO--seem to be
doing is actually translating into making Sears "a fun place to shop."
Any experiences out there?
Cheers
Richard
