I've been watching the postings too long without introducing myself. My
name is Hendrik Schwartz. I have been reading the Learning-Org discussion
list for a couple of weeks now.
I am interested in organizational learning since 1995 when I first came in
touch with the topic during my education at Maastricht University, the
Netherlands where I got my Masters degree in Economics (International
Management). I was educated at four universities in Germany, Spain, the
Netherlands, and Japan. Currently I am working on a project that tries to
combine Organizational Learning and the cultural values of the Japanese
Society, titled Cultural Influences on Organizational Learning - A
Critical Analysis of the Japanese Social Value System. I hope to find a
connection in order to show that organizational learning is a quasi
inborn factor in the Japanese management system which is in my opinion
shaped essentially by the features of Japanese culture.
I have spent the last two years researching in the areas of organizational
learning and Japanese Management. Therefore, I spent an entire year as a
research student at International Christian University in Tokyo. I am
currently looking for a doctoral program in relation to my research
interest.
If anybody has some input that could fuel my research I would be
delighted. I look forward to networking with both academics and
practitioners interested in my research project.
Best regards
Hendrik Schwartz
