To push this a little further: if I remember rightly, the song ended "You
can't hurt a rock, and islands never cry". A marvelous expression of
someone desparately trying to deny one's agony. I wonder if this mightn't
be a good "unfreezing" song to help start someone on the path of personal
mastery...
