Replying to LO15657 --

Gray Southon responded to Doc about exploitation and disposal in LO15657.

Funny, I've been working for 20 years to get people to begin to think of
people as Human Capital and to treat them as such, valued (not
depreciated) and more of an appreciating asset. In fact, one of the
cartoons that follows "A desk is a dangerous place from which to view the
world" is one called "The Cost of Human Capital" -- it shows the team
pushing and pulling a triangular-wheeled wagon. Much harder than
operating a Square Wheeled one, methinks.

(The latter cartoon is also called "One Less Bump Per Revolution"
referring to problems of measurements, but that is the old name for this
thread. Goodness!).

Guess it is all perspective. Names are peculiar things and mean different
things to different people.

I've never had a problem with the term "Human Resources" but then I'm also
all Natural Resources and for creating more Wilderness. But some object
to creating latter because it often opens the area up for 4-wheeled
vehicles. Damn, there I go talking about Square Wheels again...
