Hi!

I've been following the list with its many interesting dialogs for some
time and thought of initiating some conversation...

But first, I am a partner in a strategic management consultancy "Change
Reengineering. I am also a visiting Professor of MIS at the Institute of
Financial and Chartered Accountants Business School in Pune and at the
University of Pune. So that keeps me le arning as perhaps do those
exploits into the corporate and governmental clients! (Learning disability
I: I am my position) I better not say more about myself to expose all my
learning disabilities!

Here are my questions:

So much is being said about learning organisations: can we measure the
extent to which an organisation is learning? What are the metrices? With
many industries showing a staff turnover in excess of 20 percent can there
be organisational learning? Or is there something I am missing? Are
societies large learning organisations? Has somebody worked on looking at
them as such? How can one enhance learning here? Or treat the learning
disabilities of a society? Is this list a learning organisation?

If there are any threads that have addressed this in the past and I have
not learnt, what do WE do?

Regards,

Anupam Saraph
