I am sitting in a hotel room on Long Island in New York. I have a
Negotiation program to train for the next two-days. Unbelievably, I have
a little time on my hands and have been able to read e-mail from the lists
for the first time in a few weeks.

The last few I read were filled with commitment to certain beliefs about
what is true and right and how to save humanity from itself. It struck me
in that moment that I am fascinated with the beauty of the human spirit.
That beauty is conviction, caring, commitment, respect, curiosity... It is
funny how we become so committed to our version of reality and what is
wrong with humanity. We are always trying to fix the world.

What if what is wrong is that we forget to see, acknowledge and celebrate
what is right?

What if everything really is right here, under our noses, we're just too
wrapped up in our own judgement to see?

What if coming up with theories to analyze life is simply doing more of
the same old thing?

What if the true work is to simply balance the head more with the heart?

What if the choice is as simple as I stated in the nation thread; love
versus fear?

What if love, which we KNOW enables the human spirit to soar, moves from
some corny, religious, or pain filled reputation to business as usual?

Just...what if?
