I agree with Ben's comments. I don't necessarily want to strap a goal or
objective on to this list. If we post goals or objectives, then I fear
posting anything not addressing those goals or objectives. It's the
business side of me, stick to the task. I don't necessarily enjoy it
though.
But, I subscribe to this list because of its diversity and the willingness
to tackle any subject. I'm one of those people who loves learning for
learning's sake. With no preset agendas, no preconceived notions about
what's appropriate to learn.
I also understand some people feel more comfortable with goals or
objectives. It's in their nature, their type if you will. So, if I may
make a suggestion, what if those that wish to set goals for the list go
ahead and do so? But, please don't force them upon those of us that don't
wish to stay within the lines. For me, it takes the fun out of
learning....
On a side note to Ben, I wish to add my thoughts on how courageous I think
your comments have been. You've had my silent support. I wish you the best
as you continue on your personal journey.
