My name is Simone Paymaster and I am a 23 year old student from India with
a Masters Degree in Industrial Pyschology. I have registered for my PhD on
Learning Organisations: Its correlates and Impact on Employee Behaviour
and Organisational Effectiveness. I hope to apply the knowledge that I
gain in the field of corporate training.

Since the Indian Government has adopted the policies of liberalisation and
globalisation, Indian firms which have been bred in a protective
environment have been suddenly exposed to rapidly increasing competition,
more opportunities and rapidly changing values.

These firms have to develop learning systems as quickly and as efficiently
as possible to compete in the global market.

Additionally qualities that these organisations will seek in their
manpower will be significantly different from their past requirements.
These reasons have prompted to me to focus on Learning Organisations.

As the learning process is never complete I would appreciate any
information or sources of information anyone could provide on current and
pass research concerning the connection between Learning organisations and
its personal and job behaviour corelates, preferably with reference to
emerging markets.

Thanking you in anticipation,

Simone
