My name is Michael T. Hertz. I am a Grad student at the University of
Virginia. I have been reading the letters posted on the Internet for a
while now and then I decided to join the list.
As an undergraduate I majored in Psychology and Religious studies.
Currently I am taking Systems Engineering courses here at UVa.
I am working for a lab that deals with ideas of teams and the transfer
of knowledge along with engineering ethics. The main goals are to teach
ethics to undergrads and MBA students through case studies.
Personally I am interested in many things, but specifically,
things like Tacit verses explicit knowledge, how experts deal with things
differently than novices, and then the basic transfer of information from
person to person and company to company.
I have also published articles on invention and design
That is basically who I am and what I am about.
Thanks,
Michael Hertz
You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give...
And there are those who have little and give it all.
These are the believers in life, and their coffer is
never empty. There are those who give with joy, and that
joy is their reward.
Kahlil Gibran.
