Chris,
I would change your question to ask: does it point out a deficiency in
the white male, that once the doors were opened to people of color and
women that so many formerly white male jobs have fallen to people who a
generation ago were washing dishes and washing the White Male's cars?
In the history of the world has it always taken only a couple of
generations for such excellence to be recognized? In this case, the
moment the civil issues have been settled, the people of color and women
have more than proven themselves capable of doing the jobs. The issue has
not been availability of talent but availability of the positions to be
filled.
