I want to thank Birute and David Hurst for bringing her to my
attention. Unfortunately, none of the texts I used for my graduate
course in leadership referred to her, though I see they should have--and
it appears (through some other conversations I've had) that she is
mentioned but not studied seriously in several other programs.
