I work for a large Telecommunications company in the Uk and ever since we
have had the above introduced, it has allowed managers and their teams to
be focused on development areas for the coming year. Yes we do use a
formatted piece of software. But the input is purely down to the person
writing the report. It could be so dangerous, as already mentioned, if
there are just select pieces of text to enter accordingly. It also does
not allow for any creativity on behalf of the manager to fully promote the
stengths of an individual and the team they work in. Thus allowing future
development of the individual and also allowing the business to prosper
for the benefit of all stakeholders.
