Don Guild at Synchronous Management knows it very well. He can explain the
value and the limitations. He has worked with Goldratt and APICS and has
arrived at essentially that Kanban or pull signals or trigger scheduling
it the way to optimize the system. As did thousands of others.

Elly Goldratt's book was excellent. It explains that optimizing each part
of the system virtually guarantees that the whole will operate at less
than optimum and perhaps not at all.
