I would like to offer another reason for careful formatting of postings.
I follow several lists a day for pleasure and work, working thru 40-60
postings. Many excellent postings provide me with mini-learning experience
and I don't want to miss them. I do confess to sitting on the delete key
(I wonder if that is like riding the clutch ;-) ). Shorter paragraphs and
even summarizing subtitles through long postings help me pick out the
postings I save and re-read with intensity at the end of my on-line
session.
I also look for people to give me a clear clue about what they will be
writing about in the very first paragraph of the posting, like an
executive summary. With these physical clues I am willing to work thru
long paragraphs, regardless of sentence count.
My many thanks for the generosity of those who participate.
Peace and grace
