Doc Holloway writes:
"There are very specific costs associated with replacing people
(recruiting, orienting, loss of knowledge and information, orientation,
transitions). Your human resource people can easily find that cost for
you."
One online resource for detailing those costs are at
http://www.uwex.edu/ces/cced/publicat.html
See the staff paper titled "How Much Does Your Employee Turnover Cost?"
While I am not a human resource person in the professional sense, in a
previous job as an educator I have found this worksheet useful in helping
employers understand the cost of treating their employees as cogs in a
machine.
