Run these games through your browser to find vendors:
The Beer Game, showing supply chain dynamics and "the system as the cause"
insight. Excellent for any organization with several tiers/sections and
suppliers. The Beer Distribution Game was developed to introduce people
to the concept of *System Dynamics.* (Originally developed by John Sterman
of MIT some 10 years ago. The only prerequisite, besides some basic math
skills, is that none of the participants have played the game before (if
they have, make them facilitators). The owner is the System Dynamics
Society, who sells the game, complete with game board and instructions,
for $100 US.
[Host's note: Most of the above is right on, including the advice. The
Beer Game goes way back to before John Sterman. A basic set of materials
is available from several sources in the $100 range; there are also a
number of people, including me, who will come deliver a complete Beer Game
event for your group and/or train and prepare you to do so. ...Rick]

arising from a new activity or project, before committing, then "cleaning

budgets and time (life!).
Friday Night at the ER (Emergency Room), which teaches medical staff about
interactions between patient arrivals and movements, staffing and inherent
structure and delays within the system.
