Replying to LO18236 --

well, Simon--

at the risk of opening a can of worms (as you implied), here are some
principles I identified with transformational leaders during some academic
research. at the conclusion of my research, I realized I had idealized my
own set of principles (ah, projection projection). I will state outright
that I measure myself at different levels of success against these
principles--and none of them are topped out. I also reserve the right to
modify them (usually by adding one) as the spirit moves me. these are the
principles I've identified for myself:

Honor - A sense of, and strict conformity to, what is considered morally
right or due.

Honesty - The absence of deceit or fraud.

Integrity - A soundness of moral principle which no power or influence can
impair.

Sincerity - The absence of deceit, and a strong adherence to truth.

Beneficence - Active goodness.

Fidelity - Strict observances of promises and duties.

Discretion - The power or right to decide or act according to one^Rs own
judgment or choice.

Foresight - Provident care or provision for the future.

Purposeful - Resolute; full of meaning; significant.
