Much of this Empowerment thread is about differing definitions of
empowerment. (Many other LO threads, and especially disagreements, seem
to center around differces in definitions.) These minor differences can
create big problems, especially when we're talking about an issue as
volatile as power.
Yes, coaching seems like a good word to describe my actions. Empowerment
-- my notion of it, anyway -- was not in my actions, but in the results,
especially in the way Susan combined my small interventions with her own
power.
