Replying to LO18436 --

I do not claim to be one of the gurus around human behavior, however I
DO have opinions.
Terri said;

> I was brought into this by the agency director and the group's new

Dale said;

>This sentence may contain the core of the problem: you
>were hired by the
>director and the new manager, and not by the group.

>First, I do not know how to help a group that does not want my
>help. In a
>situation like this, my first job is to get the client to ask
>for my help.

My Daddy said;
"You have heard many say; 'You can lead a horse to water, but
you can't make him drink'".
"However, I say; 'You CAN make him drink if you put a little
salt in his sweet feed'".

I say; "Why do you want him to drink in the first place?"

Leadership has never been about control-only management and wielding of
authority have been about control.
Leaders never set out to lead, they set out to go somewhere.
Other people just choose to go along.
