What power does the company have, Jose, that it places in people? I would
say, instead, that people power organizations.

I take a slightly different perspective on this. I think that growing and
nurturing learning organizations (rather than building) is a critical
choice that organizational stewards must make. I also think that the
human development that is the consequence of a learning organization
creates the conditions for "developing the capacity for power" among its'
members. People who are connected, autonomous, informed, centered,
responsible and accountable for what they do individually and collectively
are the components of sustainable, living organizations.
