Pegasus Communications would like to extend a warm invitation to everyone
for the 1998 Systems Thinking in Action Conference, which will be held
September 16-18 in San Francisco.

This year's conference features exciting new programs and events that
promise to be of special interest to learning-org members.

For the first time, we have designed an Advanced Practitioners' track,
which will deepen and challenge your understanding of organizational
learning and include a hard look at what is working, what is not, and why.
The Society for Organizational Learning has joined with Pegasus to create
this unique learning opportunity. Presentations by Ford, Shell Oil, and
Harley-Davidson will show the results of long-term commitment to the
process of transformation. Rick Karash will facilitate the sessions.
Enrollment is limited, so please act quickly if you are interested in this
track. (http://www.pegasuscom.com/adv.html)

To encourage working teams to attend together, we are offering substantial
discounts for group registrations. Teams of 4-8 will receive $100 off each
registration and teams of 9 or more will receive $150 off each
registration. Also to help maximize the benefits to teams, a special
kick-off program for teams is scheduled for Wednesday morning (September
16). A veteran team will describe how you can get the most out of the
conference experience. (http://www.pegasuscom.com/morecon.html)

The theme this year is "Learning Communities: Building Enduring
Capability." The content of the conference reflects the progress of
organizational learning thought and practice, as we build on the foundation
of all the conferences since the first in 1991.

We are pleased to present one of the strongest ever line-ups of keynote and
forum presentations, including Deborah Tannen, Jerry Porras, Sherry Turkle,
and the trio of Juanita Brown, David Isaacs, and Nancy Margulies. Peter
Senge will open the conference with a provocative look at new developments
that may reshape organizational learning.

Also for the first time, we are presenting a special event -- The
Sustainability Challenge -- on September 15, the day before the Systems
Thinking in Action Conference. The focus is on how businesses are
prospering by aligning with natural systems. Ray Anderson, Paul Hawken,
and Peter Senge are the keynote speakers. Burlington Chemical,
Harley-Davidson, Nortel, General Motors, and others will present concurrent
sessions. (http://www.pegasuscom.com/scmain.htm)

Finally, top consultants are offering in-depth pre-conference courses on
special topics during the two days preceding the conference.

All these opportunities are designed to make your time in San Francisco as
productive as possible.

Please note that if you register before July 15, you can receive the lower
early registration rate for both the Systems Thinking in Action Conference
and The Sustainability Challenge. A registration form is available at
http://www.pegasuscom.com/register.html.

We sincerely hope you will join us at this gathering of the organizational
learning community. We look forward to welcoming you.
