ASSOCIATION FOR MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE

25 August 1998

Dear Manufacturing Associate:

In the next two months, AME will be showcasing two of it top events for
1998, Tour America and the Annual International Conference.

Tour America, Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN., 13 - 18 September, is a highly
intensive, five-day offering in which participants not only get hands-on
exposure to ten different companies but also personal access to the top
executives of these companies. Targeted attendees (limited to 30 total) are
members of senior leadership making this offering both an educational and
developmental opportunity. The website address below provides specifics on
the companies and their respective "best in class" offering.

The AME Annual International Conference, Toronto, Canada, 26 - 30 October,
has the largest offering of workshops, tours, and seminar's in its 12-year
history! The list of participating companies include, Xerox, Wal-Mart,
Nypro, Kennametal, Rockwell International, Raytheon, Steelcase, TRW, Boeing,
Honda of America, Lennox, LaBatt's, Dell and many, many more. In addition,
Chrysler Canada, Johnson Controls, General Electric, Honeywell, Ford
Electronics, and a dozen other companies are opening their doors for
workshops / tours covering subjects from automation to value chain. The
target audience for this offering is not limited to one specific group and
is most effective if a team of people (5 to seven in number) is sent thereby
allowing them to "divide and conquer". The website address below will once
again give you more of the specifics of this offering.
