Douglas Hofstadter's book Metamagical Themas has a very interesting
ironical chapter. Called "A Person Paper on Purity in Language", it
satirises both sexist speech and racist attitudes. The concepts
Hofstadter uses are similar to those employed by Jane Elliott in her
famous Blue-Eyed exercise.
