I haven't posted to this list in a long time. I look at the
conversations/threads but haven't become involved. I wrote a message
similar to Chau's in the beginning of 1997 -- it was called Disapointment
-- No Soul. I am not sure that the medium is really all there is to blame
although it does play a role. I think that humanity is challenged to find
ways to connect which involve both heart and soul. We are still under the
misconception that the heart is a weak organ -- which in physiological and
energetic terms is pure nonsense.
I am on two lists which at times is too much to handle. But recently I
have been bored with them. When I get bored I write messages like Chau's
-- in fact I triggered a similar conversation on the other list this week.
I believe we can create the feeling of connection on-line. I can tell
from a person's writing more than what the words say. You can sense mood
and personality. It just comes back to the fact that we do it poorly in
life face-to-face with each other so you can bet it will be poor on-line.
Although there is some evidence to suggest that on-line connections should
be easier....
