Interesting.

Jack Nicklas also remarked years ago, when asked why he teed the golf ball
so high for his drives, that he did it because,

"Air offers less resistance than dirt."

I've always remembered that as a bit of the obvious that is often not part
of our conscious efforts to perform. It's in the realm of "tacit"
knowledge, methinks.

Lately, I have been using a quote by John McInroe (on losing in a
tournament to Tim Mayotte) -

"That taught me a lesson, but I'm not sure what it was."

And then I play with possibilities. I also use a paradoxical joke that
teaches that,

"It's dangerous to know The Answer. That's "The" as in Duh!"

about the problem with closing our minds once "The Lesson" is obvious.
Very self-limiting.

There are lots of lessons around that we can use to our benefit. Learning
Orgnizations, most certainly being one of them. Hope all goes well out
there,
