Thank you for you comments on my thoughts.

What got me reading "The structural transformation of the public sphere"
Jurgen Habermas was his identification of The Glorious Revolution of 1688
as the birth of European democracy. So, I found your mention of the
democratic ideal particularly pertinent.

Could you recommend any particular books on Dr. Alfred Adler's "social
interest" concept?
