One of the most vivid memories of my childhood is of crabs and lobsters
climbing out of the pot in which they had just been placed to be cooked in
a kinder, gentler way. They scurried around the floor chasing - I thought
- me. Perhaps the degree to which one senses a change, however subtle, in
one's environment depends on the thickness of one's skin?
I do like speaking in metaphor; it's one of my favorite languages.
