Interesting article in ComputerWorld recently, "Knowledge 'czars' fall
from grace," which addresses this issue. Although "czars" in the article
refers to CKOs and CLOs, I think the author shares your perspective, as do
I. Organizations need tools and maybe a bit of guidance, but the real
work of KM is knowledge transfer that happens at the grassroots level.
