I work for an environmental-based consulting company located in Waterloo,
Ontario. We are currently assisting in the management and delivery of the
Pakistan Environment Program (PEP) project on behalf of the Canadian
International Development Agency (CIDA). The broad goal of the program is
to develop environmental institutional capacity for implementing the
National Conservation Strategy in Pakistan. One of our responsibilities
is to identify and coordinate Canadian technical assistance for specific
identified needs. We are in the preliminary stages of identify potential
candidates to assist in a learning organization exercise to be completed
in Pakistan with the PEP members.
Specific Terms of Reference for this component are not yet available. They
are first generated in Pakistan and then forwarded to us. We expect draft
Terms of Reference to be available in the near future (1-2 months).
However, we are at the stage of developing a roster of possible candidates
who will receive the Terms of Reference once they are available.
The way the process works is that we will eventually circulate the
detailed Terms of Reference, time frame, budget (per diem to be approved
by CIDA) etc. to interested people we have identified. We forward a
short list of candidates to Pakistan where the final selection is made.
Then we manage the project and assist and coordinate activities for the
successful candidate in doing the work etc.
At this stage we would require a resume, including and past experience
descriptions, from interested individuals. Please note that this work is
restricted to Canadain-based individuals and firms. Please mail or e-mail
me your information directly. I would be happy to answer any questions.
Thank you.
