Replying to LO20546 --

Dear Colleague,

A couple of weeks ago, Leo began a thread on his experiences being guided
in a cave; I replied relating my experience guiding myself through a cave
(LO20546 & LO20522).

This morning, it occurred to me that for some, entering into the cave is
the problem. It's dark, forbidding, unknown...much like those who view
the LO from outside an LO...until they learn of the beauty therein.
Certainly those reading many of the discussions here on LOs would be
intimidated by all that they hold, or should hold. What moves someone
from seeing the LO as forbidden, to being 'bidden' to it?

A friend/colleague of mine is frustrated with the lack of learning in her
organization. Many don't seem to "get it" where she is. I think, sitting
safely away, that she should help her organization move towards becoming a
LO. But, what would be the first step that you'd recommend?

I know that the first step is largely determined by where one is at at the
moment, but what would you think is a good first stepping stone to be on
before entering into this 'cave'?

I know also that we have many guides, with many different routes, probably
leading to different chambers in this cave. But, what would you say to
the beginning LO explorer who says, "what do I do first?"

For me the dialogue with Leo helped equip us for this adventure, ensured
we had guides (in front, behind, or within), and an 'escape' route. I
think now I'm looking for a meeting place before the adventure begins.

Cordially,

Doug
